Ans.. to slow the boat down, they dropped the storm jib and lashed heavy morning rope in a loop across the storm and double lashed every thing.
Ans(ii)-Pumbed out the water and secured waterproof hatch cover across the goping holes.
(ii)-To check the flooding of the water in the ship.
Ans..The captain some how managed to stretch canvas and secured waterproof hatch cover across the wide open holes. some water continued to stream below

Ans.. The mental condition of the voyagers on Jan 4 and 5 was tragic. after 36 hour of continued pumping they were able to pump out most of the water that had flooded in they were now hoping to reach the island safely. but they could not set any sail on the main mast.

Ans..The first section of the text describe the author dream of sailing a round the world he along with his family set sail from ply mouth England to dublicate the round-the-world voyage made 200 years earlier by captai jame cook.this section describe what step were taken by the author to protect the ship when rough weather began.

Ans.. When faced with danger, The children reacted badly sue's head had swollen alarmingly. She had two large black eyes. She had a deep cut on her arm. Ans.. When we are face to face with death we make all effort to save our life hazardous experience make us brave and cougeous . we start beleving in god feeling of love , sympathy co-ordition been evolence mercy devolpe in us.

Ans.. People undertake such adventure expedity inspite the risk involved because they have a point to prove to the world remember then after their death. They belive in perfect life.
