Ans..Modal verb are used to express certain hypothetical condition, such as advice , capability or request They're used alongside a main verb to changed its meaning slightly, because they are auxiliary verb 

EXAMPLE..i can see . bob can sing. i found out they can sing

. modal verb can also be use in the negative bu adding not as i can not sing

. i should go . she should go .we should go

most linguists agree that there are 9 pure or core modals in English ;

Unlike other auxiliaries. common modals have no -s , ing, en, or,infinitive form . modals such as  ought that require a to infinitive complement are regarded as marginal modals

Semi modals

Ans..Semi modals or marginal modals are used to empty a range of posiblity , obligation, neccesity , or advice notice that these verb can be conjugated by subject and tense.
